Pakistan reached a staff-level agreement with the IMF on October 7 for the fourth review of the $7 billion Extended Fund Facility and the third review of the $1.4 billion Resilience and Sustainability Facility. The review highlighted estimated FY26 GDP growth at 3.6%, September inflation at 10.3%, a broadly balanced current account, and foreign exchange reserves of $21.5 billion. This agreement, along with recent sovereign rating upgrades and a $3 billion Eurobond issuance, could strengthen investor confidence and support the Pakistani Rupee, potentially influencing local gold and silver prices.
