Iraq's October Oil Exports Surge to 3.4M Bpd, Nearing Pre-War Levels

Monday, 19 October 2026 · 08:35 PM PKT · PakGold News Desk · 👁 12

Iraq's Oil Minister Bassem Mohammed Khudair announced that October's oil exports averaged more than 3.4 million barrels per day, a substantial increase of about 750,000 bpd from September's 2.65 million bpd. This volume brings exports near the 3.3-3.5 million bpd shipped before the Iran-Iraq war. Such a notable increase in supply from a major producer could ease crude oil prices, potentially alleviating global inflation pressures and indirectly supporting the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar.
