Pakistan Affirms Fiscal Reforms to IMF Amid Growth, Reduced Deficit
President Asif Ali Zardari informed an International Monetary Fund delegation that Pakistan is fully committed to fiscal reforms and sustainability. He highlighted the economy's growth to 3.7% and a fiscal deficit reduction to 2.6% of GDP in FY25-26. This positive economic outlook and continued IMF engagement could bolster investor confidence, potentially supporting the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar. A stable or strengthening Rupee might influence local gold prices by making imported bullion relatively cheaper.
