Rubio: Witkoff-Zelenskiy Meeting 'Positive', Progress Eyed with Russia

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated Wednesday that envoy Steve Witkoff's meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was 'positive' with 'nothing unexpected'. Witkoff will now proceed to St. Petersburg to share ideas with the Russian side, aiming to make progress on the conflict. This diplomatic effort could signal potential de-escalation. Any significant progress towards peace could reduce global risk aversion, potentially impacting safe-haven demand for gold and influencing USD/PKR stability.
