Wall Street Banks Hike Oil Forecasts to $105 on Deepening Supply Fears
ANZ bank has increased its Brent crude oil price projection by $10 to $105 per barrel for the end of the year. This hike is based on the assumption that Middle East oil exports, shipping availability, and fuel supplies will remain constrained through December. Strategists noted this forecast does not require new geopolitical shocks, but rather the persistence of existing constraints. Sustained high oil prices could fuel inflation globally and increase Pakistan's import bill, potentially putting upward pressure on USD/PKR rates and supporting gold as an inflation hedge.
