Govt Cuts Petrol by Rs3.40, Diesel by Rs7.76 on Global Oil Drop
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) announced a cut in petrol to Rs374.51 and diesel to Rs395.20 per litre, marking the first petrol price reduction after an extended period. This adjustment aligns with global developments, as Brent crude fell 6% to $106.65 and WTI dropped 6.1% to $97.75, driven by hopes of reduced Middle East supply disruptions. The domestic price cut, stemming from lower international oil, could ease inflationary pressures in Pakistan and potentially support the Rupee against the US Dollar.

آئل اینڈ گیس ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی (اوگرا) نے 3 نومبر 2026 سے پیٹرول کی قیمت 374.51 روپے اور ڈیزل کی قیمت 395.20 روپے فی لیٹر مقرر کی ہے۔ یہ کمی عالمی منڈی میں خام تیل کی قیمتوں میں 6 فیصد تک کی نمایاں گراوٹ کے بعد کی گئی ہے، جہاں برینٹ کروڈ 106.65 ڈالر اور ڈبلیو ٹی آئی 97.75 ڈالر پر آ گیا۔ عالمی تیل کی قیمتوں میں کمی کے باعث پاکستان میں مہنگائی کا دباؤ کم ہو سکتا ہے اور روپے کی قدر کو امریکی ڈالر کے مقابلے میں سہارا مل سکتا ہے۔
