Oct CPI Rises 9.6% YoY, Easing from Previous Month

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics reported that CPI-based inflation for October 2026 increased by 9.6% YoY, compared to 10.3% in the prior month and 6.2% in October 2025. On a month-on-month basis, CPI rose by 1.1%. Urban inflation was 9.5% YoY, while rural inflation stood at 9.8% YoY. This slight deceleration in inflation could offer some relief to the economy, potentially influencing future monetary policy decisions by the SBP.
