What sets the gold rate in Pakistan

The Pakistani rate is set by the Rawalpindi–Islamabad sarafa market on local demand and supply, quoted against international spot gold and the open-market dollar — at the time of writing, international spot gold was near $4,115 per ounce and the open-market dollar was Rs 279.50.
