Indian Rupee Strengthens on Central Bank Support Amidst Rising Oil Prices
The Indian Rupee gained 1% this week, closing at 95.38 per dollar, primarily supported by persistent central bank interventions. However, it slipped 0.7% for the month as Brent crude surged 21% and WTI 18%, causing oil price worries. A broadly weaker dollar also aided the rupee on Friday. Rising global oil prices and a weaker US dollar could influence Pakistan's import bill and potentially impact local gold and currency rates.

بھارتی روپیہ اس ہفتے 1 فیصد مضبوط ہو کر 95.38 فی ڈالر پر بند ہوا، جس کی بنیادی وجہ مرکزی بینک کی مسلسل مداخلت تھی۔ تاہم، برینٹ کروڈ میں 21 فیصد اور ڈبلیو ٹی آئی میں 18 فیصد اضافے کے باعث ماہانہ بنیادوں پر اس میں 0.7 فیصد کمی آئی، جس سے تیل کی قیمتوں کے بارے میں تشویش بڑھ گئی۔ جمعہ کو ایک کمزور ڈالر نے بھی روپے کو سہارا دیا۔ عالمی تیل کی بڑھتی قیمتیں اور کمزور امریکی ڈالر پاکستان کے درآمدی بل کو متاثر کر سکتے ہیں اور ممکنہ طور پر مقامی سونے اور کرنسی کی شرح پر اثر انداز ہو سکتے ہیں۔
