Exports of Services Surge 19% in FY26, Trade Deficit Narrows
Pakistan's services exports climbed 18.81% to $10.04 billion in FY26, up from $8.45 billion last year, with the information technology sector being the primary driver. This expansion contrasts with mixed trends in merchandise shipments, leading to a 33.38% reduction in the services trade deficit, which narrowed to $1.894 billion from $2.843 billion. پاکستان کی خدمات کی برآمدات مالی سال 26 میں 18.81 فیصد اضافے کے ساتھ 10.04 ارب ڈالر تک پہنچ گئیں، جو گزشتہ سال 8.45 ارب ڈالر تھیں۔ اس اضافے کی بنیادی وجہ انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی کا شعبہ رہا۔ تجارتی اشیاء کی ترسیلات میں ملے جلے رجحانات کے برعکس، خدمات کے تجارتی خسارے میں 33.38 فیصد کمی آئی، جو 2.843 ارب ڈالر سے کم ہو کر 1.894 ارب ڈالر رہ گیا۔ برآمدات میں یہ مثبت رجحان امریکی ڈالر کے مقابلے میں پاکستانی روپے کے استحکام میں مدد دے سکتا ہے، جس سے مقامی سونے کی قیمتوں پر اثر پڑ سکتا ہے۔
