With winter demand approaching, shortages are already evident in parts of Southeast Asia and US diesel exports hit a record high in early August. This looming fuel crisis could drive up crude oil prices and global inflation, potentially supporting gold as a safe haven and increasing pressure on Pakistan's import bill, which could weaken the PKR.
