PHMA: Transporters' Strike Threatens Pakistan Exports, FX Earnings
The Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & Exporters Association (PHMA) has expressed serious concern over a nationwide goods transporters' strike, warning of severe disruptions to the industrial supply chain and potential loss of foreign exchange earnings. Senior Vice Chairman Ahmad Afzal Awan urged immediate government action to resolve the issue, highlighting risks of delayed export shipments, production disruptions, and increased logistics costs. This economic uncertainty could pressure the Pakistani Rupee, potentially influencing local gold prices.
