Govt Aims for $25.1bn ICT Exports by 2030, Facilitates IT Sector

Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja announced Pakistan's goal to achieve $25.1 billion in ICT exports by 2030, with remittances already surging 20.6% to $4.6 billion in FY26. This sector consistently generates the largest trade surplus for the country's services. The government, through SBP and PSEB, has implemented comprehensive strategies, including specialized bank services and relaxed foreign exchange rules, to facilitate IT exporters. Sustained growth in foreign exchange earnings from ICT exports could bolster the Pakistani Rupee, potentially impacting local gold and silver rates.
