European Shares Flat Amid Rising Oil, Gold Retreats on Profit-Taking

Pan-European STOXX 600 remained flat as Brent crude climbed 0.6% to $92 a barrel, raising fuel cost concerns and impacting travel and leisure stocks. Gold prices retreated due to profit-taking after a rally fuelled by lower bond yields and a weaker dollar, despite US Treasury intervention to support the bond market. Higher global oil prices and bond yields could exert upward pressure on local gold prices and potentially USD/PKR.
