Impact on Gold Pakistan Rupee Gains Against Dollar as DXY Hits Three-Month Lows
The Pakistani rupee gained Re0.03 against the US dollar on Thursday, closing at 277.57. This appreciation comes as the US dollar index dropped to 98.938, its lowest since mid-May, following US Treasury plans to boost liquidity. Meanwhile, Brent crude futures rose 0.28% to $91.87 a barrel, extending a fifth consecutive session of gains. A weaker dollar typically supports international gold prices, while a stronger rupee could temper local gold price increases in Pakistan.
