Impact on Gold Rupee Gains Against Dollar; Oil Prices Fall Amid Global Dollar Strength
The Pakistani rupee registered a marginal gain of Re0.01 against the US dollar, settling at 277.20 in the interbank market on Wednesday. This occurred as the US dollar held near a two-month high globally on prospects of interest rate hikes, while crude oil prices fell on hopes for a diplomatic breakthrough in the Middle East. Brent crude futures dropped to $98.16 a barrel, and WTI to $89.01. This rupee appreciation, coupled with falling oil prices, could offer some stability to local gold prices and potentially ease imported inflation pressures in Pakistan.

بدھ کو انٹربینک مارکیٹ میں پاکستانی روپے نے امریکی ڈالر کے مقابلے میں 0.01 روپے کا معمولی اضافہ درج کیا اور 277.20 پر بند ہوا۔ یہ صورتحال ایسے وقت میں سامنے آئی جب عالمی سطح پر امریکی ڈالر شرح سود میں اضافے کے امکانات پر دو ماہ کی بلند ترین سطح کے قریب مستحکم رہا، جبکہ مشرق وسطیٰ میں سفارتی پیش رفت کی امیدوں پر خام تیل کی قیمتوں میں کمی ہوئی۔ برینٹ کروڈ فیوچرز 98.16 ڈالر فی بیرل اور ڈبلیو ٹی آئی 89.01 ڈالر فی بیرل پر آگئے۔ روپے کی اس قدر میں اضافہ اور تیل کی گرتی ہوئی قیمتیں پاکستان میں سونے کی مقامی قیمتوں کو کچھ استحکام فراہم کر سکتی ہیں اور درآمدی مہنگائی کے دباؤ کو کم کر سکتی ہیں۔
