PM Invites US Firms to Invest in Pakistan's Key Sectors
During meetings with US business councils on the sidelines of the UNGA, PM Sharif highlighted Pakistan's economic stability and vast potential. He invited firms to explore opportunities in agriculture, mining, IT, energy, ports, and privatization, noting ongoing structural reforms and the privatization of PIA and a bank. The government emphasized its role in facilitating the private sector rather than participating in commercial activities. Increased foreign direct investment could bolster Pakistan's economy and potentially strengthen the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar, influencing local gold prices.

اقوام متحدہ کی جنرل اسمبلی کے موقع پر امریکی کاروباری کونسلوں سے ملاقاتوں میں وزیراعظم شریف نے پاکستان کے اقتصادی استحکام اور وسیع صلاحیت کو اجاگر کیا۔ انہوں نے کمپنیوں کو زراعت، کان کنی، آئی ٹی، توانائی، بندرگاہوں اور نجکاری کے شعبوں میں مواقع تلاش کرنے کی دعوت دی، اور جاری اصلاحات اور پی آئی اے و ایک بینک کی نجکاری کا ذکر کیا۔ حکومت نے نجی شعبے کی سہولت کاری پر زور دیا بجائے اس کے کہ وہ تجارتی سرگرمیوں میں حصہ لے۔ غیر ملکی براہ راست سرمایہ کاری میں اضافہ پاکستان کی معیشت کو مضبوط کر سکتا ہے اور ممکنہ طور پر پاکستانی روپے کو امریکی ڈالر کے مقابلے میں مستحکم کر سکتا ہے، جس سے مقامی سونے کی قیمتوں پر اثر پڑے گا۔
