FBR Launches National Faceless Centre for Tax Audits in Islamabad

The FBR's new National Faceless Centre aims to streamline tax proceedings, making them faster, fairer, and more transparent by eliminating direct taxpayer-officer contact. This reform, drawing authority from the Finance Act, 2026, will use a computerised, risk-based system for case selection and assign cases to multiple officers nationwide. Every case will pass through three separate hands for audit, assessment, and quality review.
