Russian Oil Supply to India Tightens Amid Export Cuts, China Demand
Russian oil arrivals to India are set to fall to 1.75 million bpd in September, the lowest since April, as overall Russian export availability contracts, partly due to drone attacks. China's increased demand and willingness to pay firmer prices are diverting cargoes. This shift forces India, a major crude importer, to buy more costly alternatives from the Middle East and West Africa. Higher global crude prices could fuel inflation and pressure Pakistan's import bill, potentially weakening the PKR and impacting local gold rates.
