UAF Mobilizes 32,000 Students for Punjab Wheat Campaign to Boost Food Security
The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF), in collaboration with the Punjab Agriculture Extension Department, has mobilized 32,000 students for a 10-day wheat campaign across six divisions of Punjab from October 30 to November 8. This initiative aims to translate agricultural research into practical solutions, strengthen food security, and encourage farmers to adopt modern technologies, supported by a government price of Rs 4,500 per maund. While this initiative aims to strengthen Pakistan's long-term food security and potentially ease future inflationary pressures, its immediate impact on gold prices or the USD/PKR exchange rate is expected to be minimal.
