خلیج میں آئل ٹینکر پر مشتبہ میزائل حملہ، ایک ملاح ہلاک؛ مشرق وسطیٰ میں کشیدگی

One seafarer was killed in a suspected missile attack on the Marshall Islands-flagged MT Velos Sapphire oil products tanker in the Gulf on Thursday, its manager confirmed. The vessel was sailing unladen towards Bahrain when it was hit, causing an explosion and fire, which the crew extinguished. This incident marks a significant escalation of maritime risks in the region, particularly near the critical Strait of Hormuz. Such heightened geopolitical tensions could drive crude oil prices higher, potentially strengthening safe-haven assets like gold and the US dollar against the Pakistani Rupee.
