OGRA Hikes LPG Price by Rs13/kg for Aug 2026, RLNG up to 36% for July
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has raised the notified price of LPG by Rs12.89 per kilogram for August 2026, increasing an 11.8kg domestic cylinder by Rs152.01. Concurrently, Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) prices saw a sharp increase of up to 36% for July 2026 across SNGPL and SSGCL. These significant energy price adjustments are set to take effect from August 1 and July 1, 2026, respectively. Such hikes could fuel inflationary pressures within Pakistan, potentially influencing the PKR's stability against the USD and impacting local gold demand.

آئل اینڈ گیس ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی (اوگرا) نے اگست 2026 کے لیے ایل پی جی کی نوٹیفائیڈ قیمت میں 12.89 روپے فی کلو کا اضافہ کیا ہے، جس سے 11.8 کلو گرام کے گھریلو سلنڈر کی قیمت میں 152.01 روپے کا اضافہ ہوا ہے۔ اس کے ساتھ ہی، ری گیسیفائیڈ مائع قدرتی گیس (آر ایل این جی) کی قیمتوں میں جولائی 2026 کے لیے ایس این جی پی ایل اور ایس ایس جی سی ایل دونوں کے لیے 36 فیصد تک نمایاں اضافہ دیکھا گیا ہے۔ توانائی کی قیمتوں میں یہ اضافے پاکستان میں مہنگائی کے دباؤ کو بڑھا سکتے ہیں، جو ممکنہ طور پر امریکی ڈالر کے مقابلے میں روپے کے استحکام اور مقامی سونے کی طلب کو متاثر کر سکتے ہیں۔
